But I found Andy's new place and Terry's place.

Have to say both set ups are very good I am glad to have met up with Terry in the end. I have seen the work it's top notch can't see anything that you would worry about with Terry's work it's very good. The standard and pasion is rare to see in a commerical body work place but it's 100% there at Terry's. It's reflected in the standard of cars that have pasted though. It was nice to see a younger Pre A than mine in there. but it was shocking how much tinkering has been done to the car and also some interesting ,what looks like factory cover ups..

Then in the morning to Andy's AJP where I felt I knew nothing again [;)]. But I have learnt alot and I am glad Andy has passed on some tips ( which I am greatful for and will keep stored in my head ) to help me get this engine finaly built, I have to say Andy now has a vapor blaster so if you need a case or heads doing. It's best giving it to him as they know how valuable the cases and parts are. So they will handle with care over other places. The whole place is looking very good with a fantastic working area for these engines. So 6 weeks to wait till I can come and get my case and heads and crank and flywheel, To start the rebuild which is perfect timing as I will be with Jo hovering around the hospital waiting for junior to arrive.

So as an up date on my engine I am here

Crank reground AJP
Rods resized AJP
New bearings rods and mains
Newish?? flywheel if not new
SX1 Cam available at AJP
Used cam gear ( with a small chip on one gear still thinking about it's use.)
New Shasts P/C set 1720cc
Gasket set Will CSP with those very nice Vitron seals
Case sealant
Full flow oil cooler
Ali oil cooler ( very nice item )
RSR 012 Disy from Will CSP
Lightweight crank pully Will CSP
Heads being re worked by Andy AJP
New Valve springs Will CSP
Carbs ( rebuilt by Carb exchange still to be rectified by them )
Engine case being vapour blasted Andy AJP
Engine case being drilled and tapped for full flow Andy AJP
All tinware being powder coated by local guy
All metal work and bolts nuts etc Cad plated Local Company
Crank and flywheel balanced togeather Andy AJP

So it's all coming along I have 6 weeks to get all the powder coating done and the Cad plating.

I have to say it's good to know Andy has a real understanding on these engines lets hope I can build it up as good. Some good points where raised and it's all the little bits that make the difference. So head back in the books again and I hope I don't get too flat 4 over loaded.. I will build this motor and then strip and do the same on the other one I have. But will just put back alot of stuff EG standard engine for the 356 to run on.

All good stuff.. [:)]

Seats seats what the ones that were being done...[;)]

no but I am going back in 6 weeks or so.. and I then will be going back again once the engine is built for a tune up and shake down ( I hope )
