[FONT=courier new"]OK - not the most challenging of things the sunroof, but in the freezing cold with no light it had me beat![FONT=verdana, geneva"]

[FONT=courier new"]My reason for taking it out was to fit new inner and outer seals. Got the seals on OK but when I tried to fit the sunroof panel back into the car it didn't seem to want to move all the way forwards towards the front of the car, meaning that the back of the panel, where the risers hook into, would not fit into the gap. [FONT=courier new"]I had to leave it overnight with it attached at the front but with the rest of it sitting proud and me hoping it didn't rain![FONT=verdana, geneva"]

[FONT=courier new"]I've not had chance to look at it today as I'm at work, but is this just likely to be me being a wuss and not forcing it forward enough against the new seal? [FONT=verdana, geneva"]

[FONT=courier new"]Any tips for getting it back in?[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Obvious question I know but, check you have got the pop up wind deflector back inside the roof panel.

[FONT=courier new"]Yes - I even checked the owners manual to make sure I wasn't doing it totally wrong. I looked at the deflector and the space it occupies within the panel for any signs of an obstruction but couldn't see anything untoward.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Phil, i changed the sunroof main outer seal on my old 924lux shortly after buying her as it leaked badly.I too found it quite difficult and i remember it took me and "her indoors" both to get it to sit in the sunroof recess pressing either side from the top and then securing it inside sort of simultaneously..It didn't look "flush" for a short while and i smeared a little vaseline around the "seam" which helped.
ade.

Isn't there a rod than runs along the front in-between the sunroof panel and the headlining - perhaps the deflector is catching on that somehow.

[FONT=courier new"]Thanks Ade. I did get the wife out at one point - she did help but it popped out again! Guess it's time for the vaseline to come out too.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]
