Got my wood steering wheel

Hi all I finaly got a) a wood steering wheel b) my hands on it as it was up in Birmingham and I bought it 3 months ago.

It seams larger than my orginal one . Not so sure now as I have trouble getting in the car .With my leg bashing in to the wheel..and this one is bigger.[&:]

Oh well might try and fit it on this weekend. Any one changed one it looks easy any pionters?

Just go on a crash diet Mark, that way it'll be easier to squeeze in! There seem to quite a few wooden wheels popping up on Ebay at the moment.

So you finally got wood! Nice! [;)]


Its very easy, just make sure you put all the washers back on.
Disconnect the battery first as you will annoy the neighbours when you take off/refit the horn button.

You may find the rubber horn cup may need replacing, cheap though.
 
Cheers Gav I ordered a new cuff it will be in the E when it arrives it got shipped today after a few frantic phone calls to find all the parts i ordered......got my cc bill today[&:] [:D][:D] well you can't take it with you.

Yep I have had the wood wheel a while but I never collected it as it was in Birmingham. I also have a NOS and I mean NOS recaro seat. it was fitted along with this wheel for a short time and then removed from the car and stored WOW so cool....

Mark Hill is coming down on saturday to help me out with me 356....[:)] one stage at a time, she is 50 this year!!
