GPR -- Might be in administration

GPR who sell all sorts of race equipment like helmets are having a bad time -- website says they are re-structuring and the telephone just gives out a recorded message. I liked using the shop at Silverstone, whilst it was not known for bargains at least they had a wide range of stock and it was so convenient to drop in when visiting the circuit.

Hope no one here has got an outstanding order with them -- the likelihood of getting it now seems slim. Get onto your credit card company and either block the transaction or start the refund process.

Seems to be the case, a company that was always interesting to visit, but probably overheads too high.

Shame - most of our karting boys get their gear there, is there an alternative? Mail order's fine for some things, but you really want to try things like helmets on! [&o]

Agreed it's a shame but hardly a surprise given the location and "OPC-esque" feel of the building.

I guess DT is an alternative, but only if you're willing to travel to Barry or Bridgend or wherever to try a seat/helmet. I guess someone will be along to fill the void with a more lean business model once the economy sorts itself out a bit.

This is the GPR that also has the shop in Chiswick? Bought my helmet there a few weeks back.

The Chiswick shop is very small so maybe lower overheads but there are cheaper addresses...

Shame - the only place other than an OPC that I found which could supply parts to sevice 944T calipers.

Real shame, great place to pop into and look at loads of stuff. I bought my helmet there and it was a priceless experience because it was the only one which would fit my big odd shaped head.
