Grande Tyres R/C Grand Prix 18/02/2018 10.30am start.

2017 saw our first ever remote control car race at our tyre garage in Whickham NE16 3DA. We had a great turnout last year with lots members having fun. The winner last year was Simon Poole.

We were asked if we could do this again this year during the quieter months because it was enjoyed so much.

The question is can Simon regain his crown this year?

If you would like to join us, all you need is a remote control car, preferably a Porsche model, although this is not a requirement, please pre- register your place on the forum or via email (r3@porscheclubgb.com) if you want to join in and don't forget to wrap up warm. Challenge accepted :)

Iā€™ll be there.

Iā€™ve bought something more fitting for the course than last yearā€™s effort. Whether I can drive it or not remains to be seen šŸ˜‚

Anybody looking for a car to enter let me know. I've have a 996 GT3 (it finished 2nd last year) if anybody wants to borrow it. I have something a little special that I'm entering this year :)

I've got something different this year too and a transmitter with sticks instead of a steering wheel so that I can drive it!

Yes please Mark, as I dont think helicopters will be allowed.

No worries, I'll bring it along.

Had a great Sunday morning with chaps and chapess's from PCGB in the Regional Organiser's tyre garage business, with some remote controlled cars. Our own Porschey Grand Prix. Well done Greg and Deb for organising and all the hard work to set this up as well as teas, coffees and grub. What better way to be involved with Porsche in the cold wet winter weather. A big thank you.

Great morning having a natter with old friends. Just like a good book you seamlessly pick up where you left off. Thanks all especially Greg and Debs šŸ‘ Andy if it helps I can take your helicopter offshore and get the helicopter mechanic to have a look šŸ˜‚

Have to agree with the above comment. Had a great morning, something completely different.

Thanks Michael but it has now decided to work. Think it had something to do with the charging..... Doh....!

Thanks to Mark for the use of the RC car. [:)]

Thanks again to Greg and Deb.

Many thanks Greg and Deb for organising this event and providing the refreshments - great morning out with good friends!

Alison

As above, thanks to Greg and Deb, for not only organising the event, but also providing somewhere to hold it.

A great morning with great friends and I wasn't outdone by Scott who came back in from a golf comp with a bigger trophy than me last time [:D]
