Hi Everyone,
I have just had an invitation from Gill Potts at Graypaul Edinburgh to be passed onto all members.

To celebrate 5 yrs trading on the same site, Graypaul Edinburgh main agents for Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Bentley and Porsche, are hosting an open weekend on the 22nd and 23rd of August.
They have kindly invited the club along to participate in these celebrations, and considering their previous generous support of the Scottish section it would be nice to see as large a turnout as possible .
Graypaul staff will be present to answer any technical queries you may have regarding your car, and sales staff will also be able to assist if you are thinking of changing your current chariot !
Test drives on available models are possible but only if pre booked, and are on a first come first served basis. Please contact Gary Beattie/Gillian Potts on 0131 549 8315 or e-mail garybeattie@sytner.co.uk or gillianpotts@sytner.co.uk please note a current valid driving license must be brought on the day.

I am attending on Sunday around Midday as Graypaul Ferrari are showing the Grand Prix.
regards
Scott.

Gave them a phone to book a drive. To say they were unhelpful would be an understatement!

I'll watch the GP at home now!

Never even asked what I was currently driving! Or what I would like to test drive.

Was told they are on a skeleton staff and open day was more a used car market day!

Thanks but no thanks! No wonder I buy LHD!

We had this experience once before - as a club we were invited to an Open day - we turned up en-masse, and there was no-one there, the staff were unaware, no test drives were available as there were not enough staff and basically it was just another day at an OPC

Well it wasn't as bad as all that!! Plenty staff in the Porsche, Ferrari, Bentley and Lambo garages and all very pleasant too.
Plenty of food and soft drinks and not a bad result for Lewis Hamilton as well!!

We thanks to everyone who braved the rain and attended the GP, (there were about 30 from FOC and about 10 from PCGB), I spoke to Gillian about the test drives and it would appear that they had not planned to provide lots of test drives on the day and this was slight mis-communication by someone to me, They were however happy to provide Ferrari/Lambo drives to customers and members and a few were out in one of the white Gallardos. Graypaul are running a series of events for customers over the month of September and this was one of them.

Gordon - I will CU thu at Knockhill unless its a monsoon ! Speaking to Jason/Stevie etc and think we are going to try and get some supper after the track.

cheers
Scott.
