Greeting Fellow Porkers

When i drive around in the 944 and i see another 'older' porshce like a 924, 944, 968 etc i always give a little wave or beep.

But mostly when i do this the other person either ignores me or looks at me weird.

What does everyone else do? Do we greet or ignore?

We greet but usually get snubbed. Don't waste your time waving at Boxsters as 99% of their owners don't realise there is another model of Porsche...

I just bought a 944S recently and have yet to pass another 944 (but saw one in the distance the other day!), passed plenty of Boxsters, 996/997s, and Cayennes, waved, but no response as yet!

I always wave, but flash the lights first so they see me. This way you generally always get a reply [:)]

Hi there, I always wave or flash if I'm just driving but on a number of occasions I have been guilty of not noticing a fellow driver of older Porsches if I'm enjoying myself and concentrating on the road.
I have given up with anything too new except the occasional boxster or new 911 owner that waves first and then I'm probably guilty of being a bit fazed and not acknowledging them.
Keep on though as enough of us are out there.

I forgot I was in my Dad's Laguna the other day and gave one a nice wave. I got a funny look, and then a wave anyhow!. He must have recognised a 944 owner from the grease on my knuckles!

914/924/928/944 owners wave back. 911/boxster owners don't. (and that's a period at the end of that sentence!)

well ok. glad i'm not the only one that gets ignored. will still wave though.

amazing how many of these cars are still around, going strong and looking every bit as good as when they left the showroom.

I wave and/or flash any Porsche that comes along, but so far getting a response is pretty rare.

However, there is a chap around here with a new GT3 who is always responsive, and good for a blat or two when going up the A3 to work. Thumbs up :).

We allways wave or flash sometimes we get a wave back or sometimes we get ignored but who cares at least we no that we are not rude !!!!!!!!!

Keep on waveing or Flashing we might pass each other one day????
