Greetings from Thailand

V987s

New member
Hello folks,

I still can recall the fond memories from several of our meetings during 2010 and 2011; a wonderful - albeit a little windy - day with decent blokes at Knockhill, for example.

After almost two years of ownership of the Porker in Scotland I had to move back to Thailand upon completing a postgraduate course at St. Andrews.

The 987S came back with me after having paid 318% tax in cash to the Thai government - which was an absolute pain in backside.

The car, of course, arrived safe and sound, and it has just had a minor service at Porsche Centre Bangkok.

Also, during the service, I managed to install a Tubi exhaust which sounds fantastic.

With best wishes,
Varat K.

318% tax [] ... wow, and we thought VAT was bad! [;)]

Nice to have met you over here, and perhaps we will see you back in Scotland another day!

I would definitely love to return to Scotland some time in the future.

Glad she arrived safely - is that a Thai Private Plate?

I did not pay a single penny for the plate; however it is a 'reserved' plate and is only available to senior government officials.
