Gremlins

Sorry to coin an old RAF phrase, but my car in the last week appears to have aquired some gremlins.

I've openned it up, and jumped in, where upon ...

the central locking switch has lit up, and the doors locked, the PSM switch has lit up/ and the fuel filler cap(after unlocking again) has remained locked. ( A right pain at the garage with three kids in the car).

And on different occasions the instrument binicle has lost it's lighting, and then come back on.

Is there a chance that these circuits are on the same connector/loom?

It just that I had the clutch replaced a couple of weeks ago, and these faults have happened since then. Would any electrical connections get disconnected when removing the gearbox?

It just feels like a connector could be dirty/not fully pushed home and latched, type faults.

Or could it just be all the rain?

Is it damp under the passenger seat? The alarm control unit is under there, which controls most of those functions.

If all is dry, I would check the battery is holding a full charge. If that checks out OK, then a dodgy ignition switch can sometimes be the culprit.

I doubt that a clutch change would have caused it.

If it has got damp under the passenger seat (which it shouldn't, no matter how much rain we have had), you need to get the alarm module out and dry it inside pronto.
