No real reason why you shouldn't post the prices, as you aren't selling them yourself. http://www.zunsport.co.uk/product.asp?id=203 Do they do black ones? The chrome ones on the site look a bit bling for my taste.

Hi All,

Further to a recent post that I read, Zunsport are on course to have grilles for the above cars online as from 28th June....

I have received an email with prices but do not want to copy it should I breach forum rules.
If anybody would like me to forward email, send me a PM or email.

However, excert from that email is:

As this is a " New Launch Product " we will be offering a 15% Discount all through July, when you process your order please use Code ZU 041510 and this will automatcaly give you your
discounted price. This offer is avaiable to all your Forum Friends.

Hope this is of help to anyone interested,

Paul

Richard - Says on the site - "Price: £129.07 / £140.62 with a Black finish" for 996 Carrera so presume black also available for other models - POA. Dave Jones

ORIGINAL: A Croft Richard, would this amount of grill restricting the airflow not affect the cooling?
I'm sure it won't. A few of us have had mesh grilles fitted, and it hasn't made a scrap of difference to the running temperature.

Richard there was a thread on pistonheads re this it surprised me to hear it does make some differance but as you say I dont think the differance is meaningful the other question I wanted to know is how these are fixed into the pu [link=http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=857439&hw=+%2Bporsche+%2Bgrills&nmt=996%20air%20intake%20grilles]http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=857439&hw=+%2Bporsche+%2Bgrills&nmt=996%20air%20intake%20grilles[/link] Neil Allan said: I did this to my turbo about 6 months ago and have noticed no change to running temps.

I spoke to a technical bod at porsche about the new grills on the gen 2 GT3 and they reckoned they reduced critical airflow by 20% but got around it by making other changes. Not sure if its something you'd notice in anything but extreme running conditions tho, but 20% does sound a lot ! quoted from Zero H on pistonheads

I fitted grilles to my Gen 2 and it has not made scrap of difference to the water temperature. I also considered Zunsport but didn't like the external fit. If you didn't see the fitted grilles on the 997 register thread, this is what they look like.........

I think the fact that we live in the UK, but they fit the same rads and cooling system on models supplied to Saudi Arabia, gives me enough confidence to say I think we are fine fitting grilles..... As it seems to be "show me yours and I'll show you mine" time, here's what mine look like:

I had a full set fitted by a specialist in Swanley. The grilles and fitting came to a very reasonable £188 for my 996C2 The best part is that they are set back slightly, and in Black you'd have to look twice to notice them. Since fitting a few weeks ago no discernible difference in running temperatures. PM me if you want details/pics.

I have a silver C4S and am looking at the Zun Sport grills. Has anyone here fitted them? I am assuming that the polished/silver ones would be a bit more subtle on my car, has anyone with a silver car fitted either type?

If you're interesting in purchasing the Zunsport grilles, take a look at this post:
