when my boxster s is idle theres a short like groan seems to come fro the front end it only last a few seconds then stops then a few seconds later does it again .does anyone ealse have this problem ,,its really annoying me as i cant seem to find where or why its comeing from
It's not a problem it's one of your cooling fans!
I mentioned it to the OPC once and they told me what it was - but I can't remember what...(!)

What you both describe is the same thing I've had since I've had the car.
I don't see what else it could be?

It may be the secondary air pump ?
Mine does it on startup and when I'm waiting at the traffic lights, you can see the RPM drop for 2 seconds or so.
