Grrrrrrr!!! water ingress!

The old girl is having some serious issues with the amount of rain we've been having recently....
Water is leaking down over the fusebox and the carpets...I can handle wet carpets, but the water is causing all the relays to click constantly, and the batterys running down in a couple of days if i don't use the car...I can tell from the history that the battery tray was replaced a couple of years ago, and it still looks sound, I just can't see where the water is getting in...
Is this a common problem? any ideas where its geeting in?
Any help greatly appreciated....[:)]

Hi Dick,

There's a few threads on this forum about the problem - it's quite common. Near the fusebox, there's a drain hole that often gets blocked and needs clearing. Unfortunately, I can't get the search to work for me so you'll just have to have a good look! Hope that helps.

Check your rear hatch seal is not worn and flat, also check that the sun roof drains are clear and the drain pipes are draining out at the right place, you could try the hose pipe test ... (testing all the possible leaking points by holding a running hose pipe over them while having someone in the car whatching for the leak/s)...
