Just ran the GT Classics GT2R in for an hour or so and Paul has the origional Through pipe on to conform to origional spec and it sounds amazing. True Porker flat 6 rumble at its best. Emmanuel Collard will be out in the Scuderia GT1 which should be VERY quick. See you there Paul H.

Good effort boys Peter and Paul, heres to spa 24hr support race.
Peter Cook was only getting warmed up as i said, good time he put in.Looks like he had a problem on the 2nd race at the pit stop or something,i guess his gt1 engine! got sorted.
Mind you a 1.58 is also good .
I hope they sort the gt3 class, with tvr challenge cars doing 2.02 and the Venturis with 420bhp and 1100kg.
Looks like we may need a 420bhp engine to compete

Paul ran low 1 59s again at the start to keep Cook honest for the first 4 laps then PC slowly pulled away , we had a problem in the pits when my belts came undone just as it was time to leave and in the panic I managed to first finrd reverse and then stall so lost another 20 secs or so.
Anyway it was worse for Cook as he missed the pit window and had a huge 4min stop and go!!!
So I kept it steady (2 02s) as the tyres had lasted all weekend !! and we were 2nd on the road and 1st in class.
But it has potential for a great series top guys ,and SRO organisation (SKY sports TV next day ) and just great to be at a proper race meet and well looked after.
You will enjoy it get the car ready Peter

Thanks for the positive words Mr Howells. I had a really enjoyable race meeting and was pleased to be able to hassle Pete Cook for the first 3 or 4 laps. As you know he's running at least 100bhp more and 2 inch wider track, etc. It was fortunate he pitted too late, so we got a 2nd in class in race 1 and a 1st in class in race 2.

They asked him to run in GT1 class or have the correct FIA restrictors fitted for the next race. As Hunter says it was nice to be part of this sort of race meeting and I'm sure the series will grow into a really good series. After all the FIA GT organiser Stefan Ratel see's the GT90's series as his baby and wants to race in it himself, so I'm sure it will only go from strength to strength.

It was nice to see me old girl out racing again,it needs a tasty set of decals on it though.
Me and son graham are deff on for the spa24hr,interested in getting the simpson truck and awning etc out may be,we can fill it with 4 cars.
Those mich tyres were a good buy also,i reckon they are worth 2 secs over dunlops.
See you at silverstone next weekend for the open, graham has pursuade me out sharing the rs in the open again,as he needs 2 more signatures to get his int C licenece to be able to share the car at spa etc.
Also off to Magny cour this sunday with rma for a spot of practice ready for the october race, and no doubt a good bit of food and veno.

Sounds good. See you at Silverstone and we can talk about Simpson potentially transporting the cars for the Spa GT90 race.

I'll be checking your times relative the young-un mate, so best have some meditation in the camper.

It was great to see you all out in the cars. Nice to see them being used properly again.

The Lotus GT1 is just how I remember it [;)]

As a spectator I thought the penalty Peter got was ridiculous - more suitable for a 1000K race, not a 40 min one... When Biaggi got away with 30 sec added to his time for overtaking under yellow, it seems stupid to hold someone in the pits for 4 min just for missing the pit window. Surely a Stop-and-go would have been more suitable?

Anyway - as I say - great to see the cars out again. Wish I was able to make it to Spa, but I'm kind of committed to the PCGB presence at the Silverstone Classic...

yes paul well aware how quick the young gun can be.
It will not only be competion on the track ,but its healthy and i miss it.
I supose i have to give in one day,but it wont be for the lack of trying, just have to educate him about not trying to win the race at the first corner!!
