It may not quite have the "˜widow maker' status of old but the Porsche 997 GT2 is still a car that most would say has ample power. Most but not all apparently, and one company that finds it sadly lacking in the oomph department is German tuner 9ff.
The firm has added a pair of V670 turbos, a custom intake manifold, headers and exhaust system with a two-stage valve that boosts power to 665bhp and torque to 590lb ft. 0-60mph remains pretty much the same at 3.6 seconds but the car will reach 124mph in an eye-watering 9.8 seconds.
Interestingly the rev limiter has been increased to 7,200rpm and the ECU has been altered to handle all the mods. The GT2 also gets a racing clutch to channel the power to the rear wheels and a coilover suspension is tasked with the job of keeping you out the bushes.

Intriguingly, for the bodywork 9ff has decided to take inspiration from the tiger-striped Escort Cosworth-lookalikes of nineties Britain. Of course this being 9ff 665bhp was never going to be enough. Expect a 900bhp version in the near future"¦
