Thinking of fitting a GT3 front pu to my 99 C2 cheapest price with club autosport (www.clubautosport.co.uk) one question.. On the original GT3 mk1 the lower black lip on the bottom of the pu does it sit vertical or is it angled, the one they supply is vertical.

any help or photo's much appreciated.

In the absence of any other reply, I'll try and help you. I have a factory fitted GT3 aero kit on my C2. Unfortunately I dont really understand your question. Can you elaborate? I can post pics if you need them.

The lip is held in by 15 plastic expander clips on a real GT3 PU.

I suspect there are some very poor quality replicas available which might be different.

The black plastic splitter is more horizontal than vertical, especially near the sides (i.e. more upright in the middle). The splitter is very expensive, approx £165 for a genuine GT3 one and about £90 for a similar version that goes on the GT3Cup race cars. If the splitter is not properly attached it will come off if you track the car.

To answer your specific question the original GT3 Mk1's lip is vertical. The mk2 has the 'horizontal' one.

That proves that one learns something new every day!. Given how close to the ground the PU of a Mk I is I'm amazed there's room for anything vertical. Maybe that's why the Mk I splitters have such a short life expectancy.

I got the impression the Mk2 ones were more fragile....my Mk1 splitter has taken a LOT of abuse and is staying firmly attached - oh and is only about £40 to replace from OPC [:D]

I agree with GreigM.... Mine takes a bashing every time I go in my drive let alone on the road abuse and is still ok....
