GT3 RS 4.0 or GT2 RS ?

Hello
.. to everyone who opens this thread.
I began it simply to canvass views on a choice I am very fortunate to have ..

I was after a 993 Turbo S and a mid 70's MFI, but because I cannot find the S that I want I suddenly realised that I could alternatively buy myself a GT2 RS or a GT3 RS 4.0.

Personally I think the GT2 is a bit more of a landmark car but I really do like the idea of a normally aspirated engine. This choice is so fresh in my mind that I still do not know what kinds of questions to ask myself. I just know I am leaning towards the GT2 and I wanted to know if anyone else had a preference and why?

A little info; I intend to keep whatever I acquire for a long time, many years if health and wealth permit, and I will drive them at least 500 to 1000 miles every year because I think its a crime to leave them stood still. However it is also an investment so I shall be limiting the miles (sadly) to 1500 miles per year. I will drive on the road and who knows, I may have a crack at the track from time to time, but this would be a rare luxury.

JZM currently have fine examples of both and I will call them next week to discuss this but wondered if I might get some insights here during the course of the weekend.

Regards

Hi i cant speak for the gt2 as only driven for v limited time but was fun however i run a 993 turbo and a 991 gt3rs they are so different to drive the latter is fun and quick always on song however the forner gives one a big amile as the turbo boost comes in.

Depends what floats your boat

Hi Terry. I have a 993 Turbo and I adore it. The 991 RS sounds wonderful but I'd like to stick to manual transmission for now (I am assuming the 991 Manuals are not out yet), hence the 3 cars I am considering, 993 Turbo S, 997 GT3 RS4.0 or 997 GT2 RS, and its particularly the latter 2 that I wish to compare / Turbo GT2 Manual Vs Normal aspiration GT3 Manual 4L, if anyone has any opinion from driving them and/or in long term investment terms (I am sorry to use the 'investment' swear word, I cringe a little myself, but it is what it is))
