GTS 10 or 20mm drop?

Does anyone have any experience with the 20mm drop on the 718 with respect to speed humps etc? Specifically with the GTS front bumper.

I've got the 10mm PASM on my base but as the front bumper on the GTS is a little longer and lower, I'm concerned about scraping it.

Thanks in advance

Dan

I went with a -10mm drop on mine and it still catches when i pull over the kerb into my drive and into my garage, we have a slight incline. Speed bumps seem okay but I take them slow.

I would only buy a 20mm drop GTS that's was the right spec for the car.

The gaps still massive front lop to the road.

I wouldn't worry too much about the 20mm drop. The CF front splitter on my old Vantage was much lower than the GTS front and, with due care, never had any issues.

Ordered my GTS with the standard 20mm drop too.

I’ve done 10,300 miles in my BGTS4.0 and never once thought to regret having the -20mm. The ride is uncannily good, probably one of the most remarkable features of the car is how good the ride is and yet still has such control and flat handling. Absolutely no issues with speed humps or bumpy roads.

I honestly don’t see what the point of the -10mm option is. Perhaps just for Americans who want a bit of wallow for Boulevard cruising? The -10mm option gives a softer ride with more body movement and is a little less sharp and direct, for no gain. I think it would be a mistake. The -20mm option is spot on, and Porsche engineers have got this one just right for this car.

I have the -20mm on my 981GTS. No problem with speed bumps but haven’t tried getting the car on and off a ferry. Just wondering if this may be a problem?

I have not had any problems, even on some of the smaller Scottish ferries. (We did have one where the cars had to follow very closely together so that the weight of one kept the ramp down so that the next could follow!) The bigger challenge for me is to avoid headbutting high kerb stones that are commonly used around here to mark the end of parking bays. A 10 or 20 mm drop does not make much difference.
