Guess what I saw today!?

I know its sad and there is this whole other sticky message for Porsche spotting, but I am going to risk being ostracized

I saw a black 944 Lux (83-84 vintage), exactly like mine this morning - ( Co-incidentally I was taking Black Beauty on a rare trip to work) - joining the A3 at Burpham (Guildford, Surrey) with the following registration

A 94 FOR

Cool or what! I know its a bit immature but it made me smile, lots :shakes head at my self for being sad:

Now, how much would you pay for that plate?

Sorry for wasting precious bandwidth [&o]

What is it about this area? I live barely a mile from the spot you mention and it was only 21 years ago (oh it seems like only yesterday!) when my brother turned up in Porsche's brand new 944 press car bearing the reg 94 FOR. I thought it was quite cool, even if he was (and still is) five years younger than me.
It's taken me all this time to get round to getting a 944 of my own!

I've never been too sure about private plates. That one is pretty good, as it's a little bit more clever than usual, but they are still dubious as far as I'm comcerned.

Having said that, my car came with RIA 944 on it, so can hardly talk (is up for sale though).

Are you sure you weren't just driving past a mirror fronted shop? [:D]

No, his wheels weren't as scuffed as mine [:(] , tis the next job though to get the wheels, then the dash sorted and she'll be bootiful

I'll show how sad I am and admit that when I got my 944 back in 2000 I phoned DVLA re that plate - 6 months later it went at their auction for approx £1000 too much for a mean Jock!
