Hi All,

Would like to know if anyone has had this exhaust modification done to their (non PSE) car ??

Any views welcome.....

Thanks JP

I doubt many if any one on this club forum would have ventured in to this type of modification, I did a quick search and found plenty of info and these photos about the varying stages of the Hack. there are also plenty of online YouTube video clips to hear the differences (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPTj9z-PWBI).

I would think if you are really interested in this then you should read some of the links given in the DesignTek Exhaust Muffler thread on the forum. There is a good write-up about gas flow through the headers and in to the exhaust. If you perform this hack you would get a deeper more throaty sound but it is a one way modification as far as not being switchable. You my also like to consider changing out your stock header pipes and adding an X-Pipe while you are in the process of this modification. If that all appeals to you that is.

Hi Angus,

Thank you for you replying on this topic... apologies that I have only just logged on since the week end... thanks for the links too, much appreciated!

The hack just seems a cheap way of getting a bit more noise... I have owned 911s for the 20 years, my old 993 had a Rook exhaust and I do miss it ... (well the car itself and the exhaust!)

I will post what I decide to do...

Thanks jp

Ever so slightly peeved because I've just had a Dansk stainless system fitted to my 4S and found that I had to buy tailpipes for it. Ok they were only a couple of hundred sovs but I would have thought they might have been included. I haven't picked the car up yet, it better sound good.
