H&R Lowering Springs

I have a set of H&R 964 Carrera 2 or 4 HA/VA Lowering Springs that were fitted, very briefly, to a 964 C2 that I used to own. To be honest they were too firm for my personal taste and so I put the standard springs back on the car after just a few weeks and the H&R springs have sat under my bed ever since. With two little twin boys now taking over my house I'm having a bit of a clear out.

If anyone is interested in them (the springs, not the twins), they are listed on eBay at the moment with no reserve - just search for "Porsche 911 Springs" or put this into your browser: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&&item=160514367690&ssPageName=ADME:B:EF:GB:1120

The auction is open for the next ten days.

Thanks,
Richard.

I'm collecting parts for a suspension overheal next year and these will be ideal. I have a 1990MY so assume an easy fit. Shame you don't have some Bilstein shocks to go with them [:)]

Yes, sorry no shocks, but, yes they should fit fine on a 1990 - mine was a 1991. Not sure how easy they are to fit as I didn't do it myself - that's beyond my skills! If they're what you're after then you will probably save a packet by bidding on them and they really weren't on my car for more than a few weeks - so almost new.[:)]

Richard.

Just a note to say that springs on their own will fit any year but the rear shocks are year dependent. Cars built up to 12/1990 require the early rear shock. Cars built after that require the later shock. Early MY91 cars should check the chassis number for the change over number by looking on PET.

Just to remind everyone that this auction ends on Sunday night. Cheers, Richard.

When I checked the H&R website they listed one set of springs for standard C2, but after a little research there appears to be two commonly used types - reds and greens ... and this is where I would like a bit of advice ... the reds are the stiffer of the two and aimed at the Turbo model and the greens are softer for the standard car.

Is this correct?

Cheers, Lee
