Had the 944 serviced

I have just had the 944 serviced at PC Reading. Very competetive pricing, very thorough and professional in their approach. I particulary liked the way that the technican pointed out all the tiny little imperfections, so that they can be rectified before they become serious, and not once did I percieve that the facilty was touting for business. Infact, at one point the opportunity to change the plugs was declined and deemed to be unnecessary. I can't reveal the actual cost for obvious reasons, but before anyone asks I did not get any kind of deal not currently available to other club members. Hell, them 944 Turbos hold a lot of oil. £89 worth of Mobil One to be exact.

When the dust has settled Paul and I will have another meeting to see what we can do. From his point of view he generated five servicing hits on the day, which is encouraging for initial results. If things get better for him they will undoubtedly get better for us. Unfortunately Jon has just departed for China. Keep you eyes peeled in June's PP for a full report and pics of the event and the Ascot Crew. There are some new technolgies coming up but they are top secret at the moment. I how does everyone feel about every six months if we can negotiate it?

Sounds good to me John, but in the meantime I think organising some visits to independent specialists would be very beneficial to owners, not to mention fun. They can see what they have to offer and how it compares to the OPCs.

another shout for opc reading was at the monthly meet spoke to gary service manager realy helpful guy managed to get me a set of tyres that nobody else could and believe me id tried everywhere and with my club discount they were actually cheaper than alot of tyre specialists so one happy customer now ready for his 1st club trackday at castle coombe this sat 26/04[]

Once again Jacko you have raised your head above the horizon to cause trouble and question my integrity. I never slagged the Centre off, that implies talking about the Centre behind its back and if you had bothered to read the post properly instead of skimming through it, you would have noticed that my post contained a copy of the email I sent to the centre telling them how I interpreted their second failure to keep to their side of the bargain, making them fully aware of how, not just me, but the membership felt about being disappointed. Unfortunately for you, we moderators have been told to get tough on the mischief makers and you may as well be the first. I am not standing for it. I am moderator on this forum and if you continue to post to make mischief I will delete every negative post you make. You are or were not from this region becuase I keep a regional members list, so keep your nose out of region 19's business or be prepared to be heavily moderated. I have already told you that your behaviour on this forum was unacceptable, and as you have nothing positive to offer, I maintain that point of view. I can't belive that you really thought I would accept this unjustifed criticsm, and as this the second time you have tried to make mischief with similar results, I can only point out to you that the definition of stupidity is trying the same thing twice and expecting a different result.You will notice that I haven't excercised the ultimate power of veto and deleted you diatribe, as quite rightly you are entitled to your opinion, even if it is based on half truths and assumptions, as you have no idea of the assurances that were made and the heartflet disappointment of the members when we were let down, or anything else that went on behin the scenes. Do you only visit England once a year? I seem to remember you making mischief this time last year, again giving strong voice to a topic that you had not bothered yourself to find out all the facts. There is enough approbrium on this forum without you adding to it. Any more nonsense and I will delete the whole thread.
If anyone cares to agree with Christopher Jackson, and thinks I have not done right by the regions members or the centre then please let me know. I don't do this job to get beaten up and I can stop being R/O in a heartbeat.

i have saved you the trouble JOHN BARNATT and removed the post for you - as a fully paid member i have as much right as anyone to voice / make a comment and all i said is i feel the posts you made about reading opc were totally un-called for weather they messed the members around or not , and any one that read those posts would agree they were over the top . NONE of my posts have been anything but points of view and if you cared to look at any other of my posts you will see i have plenty of positive comments also. you can rest assured i wont be posting anything more directed to you as this is the kind of response i had half expected and total nonsense that i try and stir up trouble ??- ive been nothing more than 110% behind lots of things in the club and those that know me ( including many members in region 19 ) will know ! it looks like your the one trying to cause the conflict by typing a name out and saying to stop poking my nose in region 19 business ?? its a club for all - once again a display of chilidsh attitude . regards now let that be the end to it please .
