Halfords Concern

I was very concerned that real motorists on the forum were buying rotor arms and distributor caps from Halfords - even quoting Halfords part numbers.

Be aware that apart from being more expensive than OEM Bosch parts (that can be bought elsewhere, not necessarily the porsche dealer) the Halfords 'make' bits can leave you breaking down after a while (unless they have brought them up to scratch in the past couple of years).

All Halfords bits I have bought in emergency (porsche dealer didn't have them in - yes, we have no fan belt, or else they were closed) have left me breaking down - including Halfords poor quality rotor arms and distributor caps
 
I Know of a similar experience in October, a snapped Rotor arm which i believe was a Lucas part only been on a matter of hours in a race Car.

Scary !
 
But try 'German and Swedish' -same parts, but not Porsche boxes -half price!!
