Hand Brake Question

Quick question - does the 993 have ONE hand brake cable, running from one hub, across to the yoke on the end of the hand brake lever & then across to the other rear hub?

Just wondered, manual seems to imply this - currently I'm about to adjust hand brake after a complete brake rebuild. Just want to understand how it works.

Yes, correct. If you just remove the plastic cover that is over rear of the brake handle you will see the yoke (couple of screws under the rubber base of the coin tray - or cassette holder if you still have that, plus one screw under front of handle from memory).
 
Many thanks Mark. Another example of sensible engineering from Porsche. Eliminates the potential for two seperate cables to stretch at different rates & to different lengths. Also makes adjusting the handbrake much more simple, as I have just discovered.
