As for the HU, it is a Becker Mexico Pro 7938. I would have had the right colour, but this HU has been in a couple of my other cars before it went into this one but it does work with the dash very well (Porsche did indeed use Becker in the mid 90s for quite a while though the dawn of Y2k. I have a similar HU in my Pug 306 RR

Regarding fixing it, here's a walk through guide (if I've done something wrong, let me know!):
1. Put bricks around the wheels
2. Jack up the relevant side of the car.
3. Take the wheel off
4. Finding an object of a suitable height (around the same as what the caliper is off the floor), remove the caliper (observing the washer arrangement (Head of the bolt, 1 think washer, Caliper body, thick washer then hub) and support the caliper on the object.
5. Take the disc off. You will need to loosen off the retaining screws of which there are two.
5. You should see two springs holding in the shoes in the middle of them (one spring per caliper). If one is lying in the drum with the hook still on it (very much like a miniature clothes hanger shape) make sure that the tail of the hook is at the bottom and vertical (with the spring in the horizontal position (this will make alot more sense when looking at it)).
6. Hold the shoe in place and pass the spring through it, and push it through the backing plate ensuring that the tail catches the divot/recess for it in the backing plate/hub (bottom of the hole on the other side of the back plate. You can use a mirror or feel for it).
7. Reassembly is the reversal of removal. (Steps 5-1).
