Handbrake sensor

Chaps, does anybody have a picture of the handbrake sensor set-up, under the handbrake lever itself? I removed it today to remove my carpet and have completely forgotten how to put it back[8|]! I'm assuming it is just a sensor to warn you that the handbrake is on (on the dash) and nothing more? Thanks

It is just a switch that is activated when you lift the handbrake up. nothing fancy in it at all.

Can't remember how it is bolted on but it is a very simple arrangement - just a button under the handbrake itself.

If you were after ultimate track lightness you could quite easily leave it off. I don't think you need a handbrake warning light to pass an MOT (I have passed many MOT's in cars without operational handbrake warning lights). Make sure that the wiring is either left open-circuit or closed-circuit as necessary to keep the light off.
