Handling Transformed

New front wishbones with poly bushes have totally improved my car's handling.

I am really pleased - now it feels like it did when I got it, six years ago.

At speed it's rock steady, even over bumps and tramlines.

Brilliant. Highly recommended.

Just thought I'd tell everyone. [:)]

I had poly bushes fitted at the last service. I was a bit hesitant, I've had poly bushes on cycle suspension in the past and they were quite hard. On the car though, they're not as significant as on a bike (where it was the difference between popping a tyre and not). What I have noticed are two things; First, I can feel the road through the rear tyres a lot more at low speed. The first time I had it out in a queue on the motorway, I thought a rear tyre had blown but it seems it's just a bit stiffer and communicative of road noise. Second, the Satnav vibrates a lot more and slips down in it's fitting to face the dashboard (just needed a reposition to sort that out).

My old (original) bushes were completely knackered, apparently, so anything would be an improvement. I can't get over how good it felt on the way to work this morning. Whoopeeeeeeeeee (crash)
