Best wishes and a Happy New Year to all PCGB members out there, not just locally here in R3 but also to the many friends that I, and many others like me, have made throughout our Club over the years from all over the country.

I observed a recent post on social media about the value of Club membership. I appreciate that one size will never fit all and some may rightly question whether our Club or their Region gives them the inspiration or involvement that they may be looking for. That's what keeps us on our toes. As Regional Organiser here in the North East, I believe it is the RO's job to try and keep you all hopefully feeling inspired, valued and informed, whilst never losing site of the real purpose of our Club; to simply be at the heart of helping you get the most enjoyment of out of Porsche ownership whilst also helping you to engage with other like-minded enthusiasts.

I personally dont think that I could ever put a true monetary value on the friendships I have formed and amazing people I have met to date, or some of the fantastic experiences I have had the chance to get involved with because of my membership. Our Club continues to open some pretty special doors and I believe it offers us all some great opportunities year on year, thanks to the tireless hard work of like-minded enthusiasts, Club Officials and staff or Club supporters and all, who contribute to the success and enjoyment this brings to others should you choose to get involved.

I hope you can find the time during the 2018 season to join us at an event that you feel you would like to be part of, maybe a weekend away, perhaps at a Club National event like the Silverstone Classic or simply a local drive or meet, even just joining us at a very, social Club night at Beamish Hall.

Whatever takes your fancy you can always be sure of a warm welcome here in R3 so be sure to keep any eye on the Forum, Social media or make sure you fully check out your emails that we send you every month hoping to keep you informed with items that may well take your fancy, whatever you decide you want from this fantastic car club, Deb and I promise we will endeavour to make this year another fantastic year to be part of R3.

Hope to see you all during 2018.

Greg & Deb

Well expressed Greg & Deb. Having joined in 2017 and plucked up the courage to participate firstly in a golf invite thanks to Ross, principle at Teesside Porsche centre where I met you both for the first time. Then a days outing celebrating Les Murrys contribution to the club and thirdly a club night at Beamish. The easy relaxed way i just became a friend and enthusiast with everyone I met compels me to encourage all members to come along and enjoy. Ps Happy new year to all.

Eloquently put as ever Greg!

I’m sure that R3 and PCGB in general will go from strength to strength in 2018.

Happy New Year Greg & Deb - as others have said, very well written. As Michael posted above, looks like I got the urge to attend R3 meetings following the golf day invitation from Teesside too. I’ve been a PCGB member for approx 12 years but never plucked up the courage to attend until I met you both and realised I was missing out. Since then, we’ve attended a couple of Club nights plus Witton Castle & looking forward to Saturday night. Would like to attend more events (perhaps some local drives) but we can only leave our dogs for a maximum of 5-6 hours so will have to see - we both really enjoyed Witton Castle & Porsche Centre Teesside’s opening night and met some more great people - perhaps a new members night may prove useful as it is difficult to meet everyone when there are so many attending. I know everyone is very welcoming and you couldn’t possibly meet everyone but it can seem a bit daunting. Only a suggestion.

All the best Trevor & Rita

Some people will always quibble on price no matter how much you get in return. As we have said before, you only get out what you put in. To meet the people and friends we have made in the three years of membership is worth it alone; never mind the runs, events, holidays etc we have attended; memories that are priceless.

With Deb and Greg at the helm, the region has gone from strength to strength and long may it continue.

Happy New Year and see you at the Xmas party.

Well put G & D - I think Marks comments are very apt and we agree with his views.

Happy New year Friends/Members and we look forward to seeing you all at the R3 Christmas bash.

I dont think you can put a price on the fantastic events that G&D have organised this year that I've been lucky enough to attend! I've really enjoyed meeting like minded individuals that share my passion for our cars.

Happy New Year everyone and I look forward to getting to more events this year!

Cheers!

Best thing Angela and I have done, money well spent....! Thank you to you both and all other members for making us feel so welcome over the past nine months. Really looking forward to the next 12 months.

Happy New Year Y'all.
