Hard to start when hot

My 1998 c2 is hard to start when its hot. Its not that it turns over and wont start, its that there doesnt seem to be enough power in the starter to turn it over. I know some high compression ratio engines can suffer from this problem. Is this the case with 996s or do I have to get the cheque book out AGAIN.

Andrew.

That's not normal for a 996 Andrew, I think a visit to the dealer is in order I am afraid!!
Doubt it's electrical if it only happens when the engines hot, more likely fuel/engine/timing related, has it been chipped or is it standard?

Andrew,

I had a similar problem recently, and the dealer put it down to a faulty fuel valve line - this was changed and no more problems...

Hope you get it fixed soon.

Justin
