Hard Top - Worth 500 Extra?

Guest

I've just agreed to buy a W-Reg 2.7, and I've been offered a hard top to go with it for 500 pounds extra. It looks to be in good condition, and I quite like the idea of the heated glass rear screen in the winter...

Question is, is it worth it?

The car's going to be used pretty much every day, as although we do have a second car, my wife needs it for her to get to work.

Any opinions would be very welcome. Thanks,

Rowland.

for that money grab it.

They usually change hands for 1000 pounds second hand or even more.
If you have a popular colour like artic silver or lapis blue you could sell it even more than 1000.

Try it and see.

I have one and it makes big difference in noise and warmth in the car.
I persoally think the car looks better with the top on, and somebody thought i had a 911, as it had a hardtop on.

What colour is it? As if youd ont want it there would be a few people out there that would buy it instead.

I have been thinking about getting a hard top for my Boxter, and would probably be tempted at that kind of price.

I know a while ago there was talk of getting a group discount for them, and there seemed to be a reasonable amount of interest. Does anyone know if anything happened and whether orders were made? I would appreciate any advise on where to get hold of a reasonably priced one (in seal grey).

Looking forward to some helpful guidance!

Sounds like a good deal. Have you test driven the car with the hard top in place to make sure that it fits properly? This would ensure that all the fixing bits are also included.

Sounds as though everyone agrees I should take it then!

Thanks for all the quick replies. I think this could become a useful forum for me...

I'll definately take it with the hard top then, which is actually how I test drove it today. I'll be double checking it with and without before I hand over any money though.

Regards,

Rowland.
