Before I rush out and buy a hardtop[:)], do I need a fixing kit ? I've been reading Phil's mail's but is it only applicable to earlier models?

Mine is a 2001 Y reg and reading some of the descriptions on e-bay it would seem a top is a straight drop on, is that right ?

Second Q , I have a CR22 with CDC-3 6cd (not working yet though!)in the boot with amp and front door speakers. BUT the only book missing is the instructions for that system, ie theCR22 book and the CDC-3 book, if there's a seperate one for that. Tried some of the breakers but no joy.[]

Has anybody upgraded their CR22 and got a spare book kicking about ? Vast amount's of beer to the winner !! [:D]

And the next one is..... drove it today for a longer blast - great and call me old (your'e old- missus from kitchen[:'(]) but I miss cruise control. Has anybody had it retro fitted? Mines a tiptronic 3.2s. I can see the light is on the dash already and I know it's fly by wire stuff , so....[&:]

If a hard top has not been on your car you will need the fixing kit.
Cheap and easy that one[:D]

Can't help with the Radio Q - sorry.

Can't remember hearing of anyone retro-fitting cruise, so I guess it's a no-no.[&o]

Cruise retrofit instructions for an e-gas car are on renntech.org. So are the radio manuals. Our 220 radio is the same as your 22 except for the frequency.

Thanks for that chaps. [:)]I'll sort out the hardtop kit (where from anybody - is it OPC?) but I'll wait 'till I get my next car and make sure it's got cruise!![&:]

Registered for renntech - brilliant - can now work the stereo properly!! Still got to figure the cd probs yet.[:'(]

Hard tops, cruise, cd players !!! To think I used to drive a 968 CS everyday!!! Must be going soft!![:D]

Tool Pants in California - have you driven the road from Cayucos(near Morro Bay) to the main drag the 101? I think it was called Old Creek road - went past a lake and we were told it was used for the Subaru WRX advert that year. Incredible, some of the bends were as banked as Daytona!![:D]

That was our 2002 trip to the Monterey Festival . We were shown the road by a guy called Craig Cambell who had a workshop in Cayucos. Used to work with Porsche race teams and his father used to build Indy cars.
That was a great holiday.[:)]
