hardtop demist performance

Good morning fella 996 owners.

Could anyone advise me if the hardtop demist generally has a poor performace.

Mine seems to take three or four goes to clear the glass.

Hi,

My hardtop seems to demist the rear withour any major problems, although I have noticed slight misting on the bottom ridge inside the glass which is a bit annoying.

Does all the lines work on the screen ie any breaks?

All of the lines seem to have some effect on the screen, but it just seems to take ages, and does not seem to do it evenly. It seems less effective on the lower left as you look in the mirror.

Where does the hardtop draw its power from? Could it be poor connectivity?

How does the hartop connect? If it is contacts which connect when you fit the top, maybe they are dirty. Pain in the neck to check though.....

I know a man whose wife is a dab hand at fitting hardtops - eh Arbee? [;)]
