Hardtop fixing 987

I have a new 987 and wish to fit the speedbumps from my 986, and later a hardtop. The problem I have is fitting the securing screws holding the bayonet fittings. On the 986 these can be accessed from inside the car without too much trouble but the 987 has a mounting blocking access, the manual suggests removing the brackets themselves but this is a major operation. Has anyone tried this excercise, and if so can it be done without recourse to the removal of the brackets?
 
Don't know how to install them on a 987.

But my 986 has humps and I tried to put them on a 987 and they did not fit.
