Hardtop Security

Now then ...2 questions[:)]

1. Can the RED locking handles inside of the car be removed to prevent hardtop theft ?

I'm having an alarm fitted that has an option whereby you can have a closed circuit attached to the hardtop, if this gets broken it will immediately set the alarm off,

2.Does anybody else have this?

Can't see how you would get the handles off as they are part of the locking mechanism anyway. Regarding the alarm, I would think it would be activated when the thieving toe-rags smash the side windows anyway?

Just curious, why fit the hard-top already when we've just had a 26 degree, blue sky Sept day? (in London anyhow[:)])

On BMW's you can remove the locking handles once the hardtop has been secured which makes it virtually impossible to get the hardtop off, I was just wondering if you could do the same.

I have''nt actually got the car yet , picking it up tommorow now..the hardtop will be removed till I see snow falling [;)]
