Harewood Fathers Day Classic Car Show

This annual event attracts huge numbers of classic cars of all types and has lots of entertainment for all the family. We have never attended this event as a club before, but this year we would like to get a club stand together and will be joining up with Region 8 to make one big Club stand.

As a club entry the cost is £5 per car for the first 10 and £1.25 for each additional vehicle. Each entrant gets a family ticket for 2 Adults and 3 Children (ages 4-16) for entry to the grounds and so is exceptional value for money. As with our own event early in the month the weather is normally stunning.

They have a central arena with entertainment and everyone gets to parade their cars round. In previous years the entertainment has been a motorbike/quad bike display team. This years' entertainment has yet to be confirmed but what they are planning promises to be spectacular. Harewood are also making special arrangements to have two entrances to the event to avoid the queues they experienced last year.

Applications need to be in by June 11th but I would like to have it complete after the May Club meeting so that I have time to post out tickets if they arrive after the June meeting.

Sign up below or by email.

Mark,
The fathers day event at Harewood is great, we (Swissvax) have attended for the last few years and really enjoyed it. Usually there is a large presence from the Porsche scene (and also a large turnout from the BMW club and VW club).
As usual Porsche Club members will get 10% discount on Swissvax products on the day.
See you there, Andrew.

Hi Mark

Could you add us to the list please assuming its not too late, I forgot to mention it at club night.

Hi Mark,

any chance I can get a ticket for this 2 adults and 1 child.

Sorry I won't be joining you this weekend, but I already had tickets for the Rally Show at Chatsworth.

Hope to see you fathers day.

Ian

Ian no problem.

The registration form has been sent off today and we are expecting a total of 16 cars so we should have a reasonable display.

If anyone knows a sun dance, now would be a good time to start practising, it would be nice not to have a repeat of this weekend.

The entertainment for the arena this year looks to be monster trucks!

What time are we meeting Mark. Going straight there??

Jonh, I suspect it is best to go straight there, I think I normally pitch up about 10.00am but it is almost certainly earlier I can't remember. There will be insructions with the tickets when they come.

Hi,I attended the meeting on the 6th and really enjoyed it,despite the weather,I was thinking about going to the fathers day do anyway so if you want another car,a 964 Targa, let me know and I'll join you.

I am expecting to receive our tickets tomorrow morning and so I will post out to everyone Wednesday morning. You should then get them Thursday or Friday morning in good time. I will put copies of the information that I get from Harewood in the envelope.

From memory they expect us to be onsite by 10.00am, anyway the queues can be bad after that time. The cost is going to be £3 per car.

thankyou Mark. Here's praying for sunshine as it was a wee bit damp for the regional concours.

May struggle to get there for 10 as it is quite a long drive, but will arrive before 11 all being well.

Thanks

Thanks with the heads up and assistance with tickets for this one Mark. We had a great day and the weather was superb which ensured a good turn out of members and cars. Took a number of pics which I will post later but must put this one in the diary for next year [:)]

Let's hope we have the same weather at the weekend for Chatsworth when we visit the region 8 event [;)]
