Harewood House 4th June

Jacob

New member
Is there any plans for a run to Harewood on the 4th. It would almost be criminal not to have a blast around Yorkshire before we arrive

I'd love to Jacob but my clutch will do well to get us there (and I live in North Leeds!), let alone some enthusiastic driving. :-(

RS Clutch due for fitment end of the month though - looking forward to any romps after that.

It couldnt get any wetter than last year but incase it does if anyone has got an amphibious Porsche and wants to enter it in the concourse then it will get extra points for proving that it can float [:)]

You've been watching too much top gear [;)]

Its the one pleasure I get at the moment. I got the keys for my house on the 12th and have been working on it every night after work til gone 10 and weekends too. What started as a couple of joists to be replaced turned out to be all of them at one end!!. Not to worry only got to replaster the gable end of the house after the damproofer has been on Friday then move the bathroom suite, put up a stoothing wall, put the central heating in and decorate before the end of June and we will be fine. Aint I going to be busy []

Is there a Street Concours event taking place at Harewood??? If so, i'd like to enter (assuming its not too late). Any info would be gratful, please.

I think you are too late, the entries had to be in by the 27/28th, I think. You could phone Strasse in Leeds and ask though.

Is there a visitors concours this year. I believe last year when members turned up from other regions they had a chance to enter, is this the case this year??

There is a visitors class and the parking has been set aside for it. If you do enter go to the tent opposite the flag pole and see the staff there who will sort you out. Looking out of the window now dont forget to bring your suncream too [;)]

what time does it kick off tomorrow guys? - not been to one before, also keen to burn my neck in true english idiot style! [8D]

& the weather was great [:D]

Another superb day out @ harewood. Great to meet old friends & new. My 2 daughters enjoyed themselves too [:D]

But the big question I have is ... for those of you who grabbed a pasta salad on the strasse stand .. what was the black 'worm' like stuff ? [:D]

Ah James... you must be the chap we parked next to! Brave man taking two little ones! [:)]

Nice to chat with you today.

Thanks to all who were involved in organising the NE region trip down today. Twenty cars I think...!! If only there had been less caravans on the A1 ! Aaagh!

that was me [:D] My eldest daughter always comes along in the Porsche, but this time was a 1st for my 10 month old & she loved it [:D]

Thoroughly enjoyed myself, some beautiful cars there. Nice to meet some more new faces (just wish I had a better memory for names). Looking forward to the next meet

Great day out - even the missus enjoyed it although though she'd convinced herself she wouldn't.

First event I've been to - never seen so many rare porsches in one place, breath taking.
