Harrogate Christmas Market 20th November 2016 Amended

[FONT=arial, sans-serif"]Christmas Market Tour. Sunday 20th November
[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
[FONT=arial, sans-serif"]I have made inquiries regarding a visit to the Harrogate Christmas Market by coach. This will be very much number dependant and our first thoughts are to have a couple of meeting points, starting from Grande Tyres Whickham NE16 3DA at 9.00am and heading possibly via the A19 to Teesside to pick up further South (would appreciate feedback for stopping points) then on to Harrogate for around 11.30. Here you will be free to spend the afternoon as you wish shopping, socialising or just taking in the sights before boarding the coach around 4.30 and heading off for an early dinner at the nearby Millstones restaurant where a lovely hot 2 course carvery can be pre-booked. Food bookings will be £15.00pp & coach travel we estimate around £10.00pp. Numbers will be restricted due to coach travel so don't delay get your name down early to allow for planning and booking.[FONT=verdana,geneva"]

Hi D & G

Regret, we cant make this one, committed to a Lancaster visit (Olivia at Uni)

Don't forget to visit "Veeno" - Italian Wine Cafe on Station Parade, clients of mine, opened in June this year. Superb wine and supplied by their own vineyards in Sicily - very moreish -I can vouch !

Cheers

Hi Greg

We would be interested in this if a suitable pick up point could be arranged.

I suppose it depends on whether any more of us southerners are interested.

I originally wondered if we would get the numbers for this to work but considering how well it was received when putting it to the room at last month's meeting it seemed like a definite yes. Unfortunately due to the lack of uptake it appears interest has dwindled.

I have, therfore, taken the decision today, after the coach company called asking for an idea of numbers, to cancel this experience.

Deb & I have decided we still fancy the sound of it anyway and will still be attending on the Sunday but driving down in our own car, if any members would still like to go and would like to join us please let us know, we can plan some meeting points on the way down. I would even go as far as to say you don't even need to take your Porsche if worrying about safe parking etc.

Once again I apologise to those of you who have added their names to the list but figured 13 on a coach just wouldn't be viable. Sorry,

Greg.

Proof once again that our club season can be as long or as short as you want. Another memorable R3 experience to add to this year's already bursting list of events. Great atmosphere at the bustling market and an even better one when we all met up again in the Fat Badger for a pint or two (for the non drivers) before heading out of Harrogate for a very good late lunch. Yet another enjoyable day out with fantastic friends and brilliant banter. Loved every minute of it.

We really enjoyed it (as always). Big thanks to Kenny for chauffeuring Wendy and I about. Very nice Sunday lunch, a little different but superb!
