Hi Guys

Just wondering if any of you have had any dealings with Hartech ( porsche Franchise - Bolton NW).

Porsche in Wimlsow have quoted me £600 for a 24k mile service. These guys are beleived to be reputable have quoted me £385 which includes -

Sparks, filter. Oil, Air Filter plus Brake strip and clean and lubricated plus 4 wheel allignment check. They cannot do the service for another 4 weeks yet so i guess they are busy.

Just wondered if anyone had any dealings and can recommend or not. £385 as opposed to £600 is good , but dont want any mess ups.

thanks guys - they are Hartech porsche - Bolton Greater Manchester.

Hartech aren't a franchise - they are independent. They are very good value, and they know their onions. Which doesn't necessarily help when you are working on Porsches. [;)] I have used them for some work on my 968 and I live in Reading! They are always booked up for about 4 weeks in advance - I have never heard a bad thing said about them. I did have a very minor problem with some of the work they did on my car, and they dealt with my issue very professionally, which is all you can ask really. If you are going to go down the non-OPC route then you couldn't leave your car in better hands. Don't let the location or the general look of the place put you off either....

Are Hartech any good? [&:]

Hmmn, let me see ... would I drive from Scotland to Bolton to have them work on my 968 if they weren't? I think that should give you the basic idea. [;)]

A word of caution though ... don't judge by appearances. While your average OPC may be a glossy world of potted plants and chrome plated furniture, Hartech are based in a very workmanlike industrial unit in the bowels of Bolton. Flash it is not, but competent they most surely are.

Give my regards to Barry Hart (the owner)
