Hartech Zoom talk 18th January.
Hello everyone.

Steve, the 997RS, has arranged a Zoom call with Hartech on Tuesday 18th January 2022 and he has kindly extended the invitation to us in the Cayman register.

Hartech are well known for their research and development capabilities, not only in terms of diagnostics and rebuilds, but also larger capacity engines and other performance enhancements. Hartech have gained an excellent reputation for dealing with issues, primarily affecting 996 and 997 engines, but from which some Caymans have also suffered.

Final details have still to be confirmed, but if you are interested then please register via the link below so they can gauge interest.

Best wishes.

Having been following this on the 997 forum for some time I registered a little while ago and was thinking of posting this here myself, so well done John for beating me to it!

Should be an interesting evening, especially for 987.1 owners to hear from an established repair expert on the early flat-6 water-cooled engines. It’s also an opportunity to ask him if he’s seeing any problems with the Gen2 engines now that after 12+years there will be many high-mileage cars out there, both 987s and 981s.

I quite like the idea of a DIY 4ltr build. I am anticipating the point when my car passes through the 100k mark and I can no longer buy a direct replacement. A complete overhaul and some bespoke modifications would be a very satisfying way of spending some money and getting the equivalent of a new car.
