hi guys just realised my jboot is split at the turbo side ??

Would any of you have one knocking about you could sell me that maybe have been replaced with upgraded maff kit ect.

i don’t really want to buy from states if I can help it, and I bought a few from Dougl valley breakers last year which was no better than my split one.

let me know if anyone can help?

many thanks
Daniel ??

Dan, I got a new one from OPC a couple of years back, it was only about £70. Hopefully the price hasn't went up. 2nd hand ones will all be tired with the heat in a turbo engine bay. I've learned you have to be very careful when removing one.

Thanks Stuart I’d love to think there still that price but I won’t hold my breath. If no one comes up with one I shall call my local porsche dealer in a few weeks as I’ve just got on a short holiday with the family ??

Not sure that is right

i bought a guitar from the states it was just over 1200 dollars with shipping, I only paid £75 tax and import duty

and before you ask no I can’t play, my boy does
it was. Synester Gates copy, from the band avenged sevenfold

i really dont don’t think you can pay more tax the the price of the item, it’s a percentage charge

the problem is , is that there are all different categories of product that have different tax figures and car parts seem to be one of the highest they told me. I added it up and sure enough with the cost of postage it all came to near enough the same if not a tad over what I was paying for the parts , which is why I had to cancel my order with Lynsey racing ??

I think I paid £26 import tax on an $80 WG diaphragm from Lynsey recently. About half the cost and it weighed about as much as a 1p coin! Tragic stuff.

Cheers Stuart,

i had a quick look but seems all the ones ive found are in the states.

I may try to save the one I have when I get back from holiday as I saw a picture on Pinterest which has given me an idea of how to utalize mine by using a hard Pipe section followed by a stepdown silicone or rubber boot going to the turbo. Obviously I’ll need to cut off the damaged section first ect I’ll try put up a photo

I really cant see the point in paying £50 for a tired old one, when a brand new one is £95.

I wouldn’t spend £50 on a old tired one iether just for the record, you just never know someone could have excellent condition one that’s not been used for £50 ? If you don’t look you don’t know.

I will try and mod mine before I buy one new from porsche, if I can do it cheap enough that is?

Dan, I was not taking a shot, even if it’s in good condition to look at it’s still the thick end of 30 years old
