Silly ?? but .. how does one open the hatch if the battery is removed from the car...
I was going to take the battery out of the car for a charge up but i thought 2ce as i couldnt see how i would open the hatch afterwards...
I couldnt see any remote cable to pull as in the 968,s...?????
The car is outside at present so i need to close the hatch for safety + to stop any rain getting in....

You need to drop the rear seats and climb into the back, laying on your front and move the rod connected to the cable to the left, i.e.towards the drivers side of the car.

Phil is right - drop the carpet and look at how it works; there is a motor that rotates once when the button is pushed or repeatedly when the key is turned and it pulls a cable that in turn pulls the levers that go to the two catches. You need to either pull the cable or the levers manually if there is no power.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]However, there should be a post in the scuttle on the driver's side with a blue ally cover on it. If you take the cover off it's a positive terminal underneath that is intended for a jump lead (with the negative on the chassis) to give power to open the boot for access to the battery. You should be able to open either door lock without power and then release the bonnet to get access to the post.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]
