Hatch Seal

Looking to replace my hatch seal. It does not leak, just a bit tired. My boot pops open with the button in hot weather but when it's cold it doesn't! [&:] I think fatigued rubber springyness may be weather dependent lol!

So, Simon's favourite retailer lists one on ebay for 40 quid delivered. Having almost pressed the buy it now button in a fit of can't be bothered faffing about, is there a reason to avoid their offering? And if so what are the best options. I would like OEM or a good quality, known, substitute.

Cheers

Stuart

I may be wrong but the OEM profile is different to the generic boot seals. There's an extra lip on it compared to generic. I replaced my 4 year old generic seal for an OEM seal as it was leaking. The new one from OPC doesn't.

And remember, the OEM seal definitely doesn't need to be trimmed. First time I tried, it appeared to be about 1" too long, but don't
be tempted to cut it.
