Its official, 3.2 carrera's can fly!!!

On our run over the devils elbow today, I had a yee-haa airbourne moment at, well, lets
just say nominal speed for a 911.........

I travelled over 30 feet in distance, and nearly 6-8 feet in the air according to the boxster behind me.

On landing I thought I would loose the front splitter, since the nose started to dive quite sharply. However,
once duly parked at Gate18, on inspection, the towing hook took a little scrape, that was it.

Seemingly the noise when it smacked the tarmac was quite impressive!

I am not advocating this approach to cheap air travel, especially after the 'Smokey and the Bandit' scenario
outside a small village on the way there. Nice chaps in that Police force you know!!

All I can say is, I am fairly tempted to try it again, this time with someone with a camera on the other
side of the hill!!!

332 miles in 4.5 hours with 2No pee/coffee/fuel stops. A very good way to start the summer.............

If you cant be good, just be good at it!!

911sse .
I know how you felt I have been away with she who must be obeyed this weekend and we used the Spittal of Glen Shee road over the devils elbow and it is easy to get it airborn, this is a fab road and you can see for miles .So for any one who wants a good run try it.Start your journey with a cup of tea and a SCRUMNUT at the Spittal of Glenshee Hotel then head for Braemar on the A93 Then take the road sign posted for Linn o Dee another great road its a dead end ,and when your ready do it all again in reverse,we drove it today and it was a holiday Monday it was deserted ,have fun but watch out for other low flying Porsches .Cheers Flight Captain Brian

I got a bit of air the other day in mine, hit the first of the two humps on the Stockiemuir road after the Carbeth Inn heading toward Glasgow. Didnt get high enough to clatter down, but certainly got a little airborne.

Lovely stuff!!

Sorry Brian, the 'SCRUMNUTS' were not an option when we stopped, that would have been adding an extra Kg to each car for goodness sake!!!!!!!!
