Hazard Problem

I have a 1985 lux and the hazards do not work properly. The indicators work fine and when I turn the hazards on, there is a severe buzzing noise from the flasher relay. I have checked the Earth wires and changed the flasher relay, but still the hazards don't work and annoyingly buzz! I was hoping someone out there may have an answer or any idea I should try? It will be much appreciated.

Sounds like the new flasher relay failed, which is fairly common, or you purchased the wrong type. Bring the original old relay in to the store and just make sure you match the pin configuration and identifing numbers next to the pins (or legs if you will). Buy an electronic relay rather than the slightly cheaper thermal one.

I've had thermal ones actually burn up on 944s. And if you have the wrong pin numbers it won't work either.
