Head Gasket or Oil Cooler

Hi,new to the forum and have my first(of many hopefully)porsche944 in black.Love the car to bits and didnt pay too much considering the very good body condition.However the seller had stated a head gasket fault,being a tech by trade very sceptical.
There is a fair amount of creamy water in the sump and also degas bottle,i removed the head out of interest really and can't really fault the gasket,head or block.
Do the oil coolers fail?
