Hi Folks,
It's that time of year again to point the 993 southward to foreign parts and in preparation adjust the headlights accordingly. The last two occasions I attempted to move the levers in the light unit to change beam direction I failed, reverting to sticky tape on the headlamp glass. Looked naff. The levers are impossible to move even with force.
Is it wise to dismantle the light unit sufficiently to lubricate whatever it is that is sticking? I am loathed to squirt lubricant into the mechanism for fear of damaginging the reflector.
By way of back story, the first attempt at this task and after some force a re-alignment was achieved. Subsequent return home and re-adjustment for UK driving resulted in both lights pointing in separate and incorrect directions! As aforementioned, subsequent efforts failed.
Has anyone experienced this problem and if so can help be offered. Thanks.
