Hi gang can anyone tell me how the front headlight washers work ..is it only when the head lights come on ?

I hear the motor BUT the front washers dont work ...the window ones do, and I noticed there is a T piece in the bonnet at the front are there 2 different pumps as the pipework seems a bit hard to trace

wanting everthing to work.......[:D]

I think you'll find there are 3 pumps in total, 2 of which are connected to the windsceen jets, 1 is operated by the stalk and is the normal wash, 1 is operated by a small rocker switch on the dash and operates the so called intensive wash and the reservoir for this is under the carpet inside the boot just near the fuel tank filler with a red screw on cap. This is for a special fluid which appears to be neat washer additive and is intened to be used to clear traffic film.
In answer to the Headlight light wasers these only work when the lights are on and the pump for this is a push fit into the water reservoir under the front left wheel arch> If your car is like mine you'll likely find the reservoir is full of slude at the base and the pump has been blocked, it's a case of flushing out the tank and hopefully that will allow the headlight jets to work, good luck

A quick addition to the above post which is spot on apart from noting there are 2 rocker switches on my dash; one for the intensive screen wash and one for the headlamp washers.

I assume you've found that switch though but it's not exactly in an obvious location.
