Headlamp beam adaptors

Hi,
I'm driving to France soon, any advice about headlamp beam adaptors?

Does you car have Xenon lights, if so there is a procedure for switching them so no beam deflectors are required. Details in the handbook.

Dont know about non Xenon cars but sure that someone who does will post in a while.
 
its all in the handbook, p249-250. It's a bit of a fiddle, but after you've done it once it's not too bad. You just need strong fingers.

I found the lamps on my 987 gen2 where very tight to free to adjust, to the point I felt the tool used would break. Gave up on that and bought the stick-on deflectors from Halfords.
Placed them at the Chunnel before departure, removed them at Calais before return to UK.
Totally aligned then for the journey ahead for each country.
Nice and simple.
 
It was a bit of a fiddle best done night before leaving ,from my experience
much easier by a flick of the switch in settings on the column stalk on the 981!,,,
