headlamp connector

Hi guys, I am still very new to my Porsche and I am curious about the wiring connector immediately behind the headlamp, I have discovered an intermittant loss of my offside dipped beam.It is definately not the bulb and is vulnerable to wiggling the loom in this area. The connector is an inline type . My question is, how does it come apart ? I have obviously tried to pull it apart but it does not budge.

I have a brand new one somewhere, got one with a round connector and one with a different shape if I could remember where I put them

I would just replace all the loom to the lights and use a suitable connector block . the copper in the wire work hardens and if one core has gone the others wont be far behind...

Thanks for your quick replies. In the interest of keeping the car original. I was curious if it was openable and or still available. If not your advice is good and a suitable alternative connector will do nicely

Me again, the in-line connector does pull apart. It is a 3 pin plug and socket and a good squirt of Servisol seems to have done the trick. thanks guys for your replies.

... it must be the definitive info for this part of our cars.
A compliment! That's a compliment! See that chaps, it's a compliment! Oscar Wilde said he could live for two weeks on a compliment, so that one from Mr Brummie will get me some way into 2015! [:)] [:D]
