Headlamp Flasher Problem: Where's the relay?

Can't fathom this out. The lights that flash oncoming traffic when the pop ups are down come from lights inside the side light units. One day I found they had jammed on I had to disconnect the battery to turn them off. Next day I pulled out every relay I could find and put them back in and now they are off..but they don't flash anymore, bulbs are good I guess the relay is damaged. Does ANYBODY know where and what it looks like!!! got haynes manual but no good
