Greetings Folks
I was very tempted to purchase a headlamp upgrade kit from the NEC Classic Car Show last Friday. But being a suspicious sort I thought I would ask you folks if any of you have fitted any type of headlamp upgrade and have been suitably impressed.[:D] These were a H.I.D. (?) type for about £125 complete.
Your comments as always will be gratefully received.
Many thanks
Alex

If you buy the dipping H4 HID kits, you have to modify the headlamp
bowls, as they are to long to fit in.
Buy the relay kit and fit 65/100 watt H4 bulbs, the difference is night and day!

Hi

Fitted a set of Bi Xenon from Hids 4 U a couple of years ago and must say i had no problem with fitting and they are the best mod head light wise you can do and worth every penny.

Which ones did you fit?
As the ones I've seen are to long to fit in the bowls?

Hi

It was 5 years ago that i fitted them , where does the time go !.

On the invoice it says .......H4 6000K HIDS4U Pro Kit

Hope that helps.

Ian

Believe the new kit from HID4u is "H4 35w Slim ProPlus Bi-Xenon HID Conversion Kit" - £140 including VAT and postage

Be interesting to here your feedback if you go ahead, I've fitted the relay kit but could still do with more external brightness

I was thinking of a HID conversion. Not sure what the light scatter would be like thought......

I did a relay upgrade and tried to kep it OEM. This is what I did:

My Porsche Relay upgrade project

It definitely made a difference and of course is safer than the standard Porsche configuration. It definitely takes the current away from the steering column switch.....
